Autism Test for Adults

Why Seek an Adult Autism Test?
Because you deserve to understand how your brain works.
Many adults come to us after years of feeling:
Misunderstood or mislabeled
Exhausted from masking in social situations
Overwhelmed by their sensory environment
Struggling with routines or unexpected changes
Burned out from constantly pushing through without support
Deeply connected to autistic experiences shared by others

What You Can Expect on Your Assessment Day
Meet Your Evaluator on Telehealth, But Skip The Small Talk
We’ll start by orienting you to our adult autism test process and what to expect during the session. No icebreakers, no “What do you do for fun?” unless you actually want to talk about that. We know why you’re here, and we’ll get right to it in a low-pressure, affirming way.
Thoughtful Questions and Conversation
We use the MIGDAS-2, a semi-structured, conversation-based clinical interview specifically designed for adult autism assessment. Instead of asking rapid-fire yes/no questions, or irrelevant and infantalizing questions, we invite you to share your experiences in your own words. The MIGDAS-2 lets us gather clinical insights through a collaborative dialogue while also paying attention to communication, sensory experiences, and patterns that often go overlooked in more rigid assessments.
We Move at Your Pace
We adapt our autism test for adults to your processing style and your communication style. Our process is designed to meet you where you are. You can ask questions about the questions. You can pause to think, circle back later, or talk it out. If something’s hard to put into words, we’ll help you explore it together. Our evaluators know how to ask the right follow-ups so that you feel fully understood.
At the End, We’ll Discuss Feedback and Next Steps
You won’t be left in the dark. We’ll review diagnostic impressions, share feedback, and let you know what’s next, whether that’s a one-page documentation of an official adult autism diagnosis, a report, or support recommendations.

No, we don’t accept insurance, and we’re not able to offer payment plans at this time. Some clients choose to use HSA/FSA funds or submit superbills to their insurance for possible reimbursement. We know this can be a barrier, and we aim to be as transparent as possible so you can make an informed decision.
For a more affordable alternative to identification, consider our self-diagnosis and self-discovery coaching service.

Our assessments are specifically designed to look beyond surface-level presentation. We understand that many autistic adults have spent years learning to mask or overcompensate. Our approach allows space to talk about the strategies you’ve used to get through life, even if they’ve helped you “pass.” We’re not looking for how autistic you act… we’re exploring how your brain works, how you experience the world, and how that aligns with autistic patterns over time.
