Cm Icon Struggling
Lose track of time, space, appointments, or entire conversations
Cm Icon Burned Out
Start 12 projects, but struggle to finish any of them
Cm Icon Misunderstood
Constantly misplace things (your phone, your keys, your train of thought)
Cm Icon Connected
Are called “scattered,” “emotional,” or “too much”
Cm Icon Overwhelmed
Mask well, but it’s taking a toll on your energy and self-esteem

ADHD in Adults Doesn’t Always Look Like Hyperactivity

ADHD in adults often looks like:

  • Constant mental noise or overstimulation
  • Trouble starting or switching tasks (even small ones)
  • Chronic procrastination or perfectionism
  • Emotional intensity or frequent burnout
  • Feeling overwhelmed by “simple” routines

It’s real. It’s valid. And there’s a reason you’ve been struggling.

What You Can Expect on Your Assessment Day

Meet Your Evaluator on Telehealth

You’ll meet with your licensed provider over secure telehealth for your adult ADHD assessment. You’ll get a straightforward explanation of what to expect and plenty of space to share your story.

We know that ADHD can show up in so many ways—inattention, restlessness, time blindness, rejection sensitivity, executive dysfunction, burnout, and more (especially when it’s gone undiagnosed for years). We’re here to listen and ask the right follow-ups.

Semi-Structured, Evidence-Based Evaluation

We use the DIVA-5, a clinical interview for diagnosing ADHD in adults. It is thorough and grounded in current science, but we adapt it to feel like an actual conversation, not a quiz.

The DIVA-5 helps us explore your current experiences and your childhood history across key areas:

Attention and focus

Hyperactivity and impulsivity

Work and school experiences

Emotional regulation

Daily life impact

You don’t need to worry about “sounding ADHD enough.” We’re trained to look beneath the surface and understand how ADHD might present in people who’ve spent their lives masking, overcompensating, or falling through the cracks.

Results, Clarity, and What’s Next

At the end of your ADHD assessment, we’ll talk through our findings and let you know what we’re seeing. You’ll leave with clear diagnostic impressions, plus you’ll receive your official documentation within 24 hours. If you chose to purchase a written diagnostic report (for work, school, or your own self-understanding), it will be shared with you within 2 weeks.

We can also talk through next steps for care if you’d like support with that.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is ADHD diagnosed in adults?

We diagnose adult ADHD through a comprehensive evaluation that integrates your experiences, a structured interview, and rating scales to confirm an ADHD trait pattern.

Can I get an ADHD diagnosis without childhood documentation?
Yes. Many of our clients were missed entirely as kids. We assess based on your current experience and trust your self-report.
Is your adult ADHD assessment accepted for accommodations?

Yes. Our reports are often used to support workplace and school accommodations.

Do you offer virtual adult ADHD evaluations?

Yes, we are 100% virtual and conduct online ADHD assessments for adults nationwide.

How does ADHD in adult women differ from ADHD in men?

In adult women/AFAB folks, ADHD is often more internal (masking, inattentiveness, emotional reactivity, and hormone-linked fluctuations), so it’s frequently overlooked or misdiagnosed.

Are ADHD assessments available in my state?

We currently offer assessments in 46 states including AL, AZ, AR, CA, CO, CT, DE, DC, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, MA, ME, MD, MN, MS, MO, MI, MT, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NY, NC, ND, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WV, WI, WY.

Also serving Washington, DC, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and New Brunswick, Canada.

Is ADHD neurodivergent?

Yes. ADHD is considered a form of neurodivergence. Being neurodivergent simply means that your brain works differently from what’s often considered “typical.”
