Diagnostic Process: What You Can Expect

Step 1: Free Consult

Start with a free consultation to answer your questions and familiarize yourself with our process.

Step 2: Scheduling

Use our online scheduling system to pick a day and time that works best for you.

Step 3: Payment

Pay for your assessment to confirm your appointment.

Step 4: Questionnaires

Complete the online questionnaires and screening measures at your own pace.

Step 5: Diagnostic Evaluation

You'll meet with your provider virtually to complete the clinical interview, which typically takes 1.5 to 3 hours.

Step 6: Results

You'll receive official documentation of your results within 1 to 2 days of your assessment. If you purchase a full report, you'll receive it within 2 weeks.

Assessment FAQ


Do you offer a consultation before the assessment?

Our team would love to provide you with a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your concerns, answer any questions you may have about our services, and explore the pros and cons associated with formal assessment.

Will my assessment diagnose other conditions?

Our focus is on autism and ADHD. If we feel a comprehensive assessment is required for other conditions, we may recommend you follow up for additional evaluation with a specialist in that area (e.g. learning disabilities).

What are the current wait times for an evaluation?
  • Consultation call with NeuroSpark team - Available within one week.

  • Assessment Appointment and Clinical Interview - Available within two weeks

  • A phone call to discuss results - Provided within one week of completing the clinical interview. (*Results are typically provided at the conclusion of the clinical interview)

  • Written report - Provided within two weeks of completing the clinical interview

  • Follow-up services - Can be scheduled any time following the completion of a clinical interview

Is an interview with a parent or caregiver required?

No. We’re confident that you can provide the necessary information, but if there is anybody in your life that you would like to include, let us know and we would be happy to integrate them.

Our coaches are also happy to have your loved ones participate in coaching sessions with you, or separately, if you wish to have them be a part of your process.

Is a formal assessment with NeuroSpark required to receive coaching and accommodations consulting?

No. Whether you're self-diagnosed, previously diagnosed, or exploring, we are here to help all neurodivergent people.
