During her Master’s program, Dr. Rojas completed her internships at River Valley Counseling Center, The Stone Center at Wellesley College, and Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Rojas has provided psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups in numerous settings such as client's homes, community mental health centers, a residential program for adolescent girls, a college counseling center, a medical hospital, and served as a director of a mental health and substance abuse department in a health center in Washington, DC. She has also served her community as a first responder to crisis incidents. Dr. Rojas has been in private practice since 2011.

Additionally, she has taught as an adjunct professor at Columbia University, Adelphi University, and the Catholic University of America. She was also a Visiting Instructor at the University of South Florida. She has taught Human Development and Psychopathology, Assessment and Diagnosis of Mental Disorders, Human Behavior in the Social Environment, Foundations of Social Work Practice, and Research and Statistics in Social Work. She has presented her research on trauma and substance abuse at the Council on Social Work Education Annual Program Meeting, the College on Problems of Drug Dependence, the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health - Mental Health Seminar Series, the Many Faces of Trauma Conference, the University of Southern California School of Social Work, Hunter College School of Social Work, and Boston University Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine Department. Dr. Rojas is a sought-after speaker on tv and radio and has run workshops on couple's issues and various mental health topics. She also has several publications in peer-reviewed journals.


Dr Rojas loves to learn and continues expanding her expertise in couples and trauma to help others. She is trained at level III in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and completed the Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy Externship. Her training in trauma includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) basic training 1 & 2, an Attachment-Focused EMDR Course, a certificate in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Treating Complex Trauma with Internal Family Systems (IFS), Integrative Medicine and Nutrition for PTSD and Complex Trauma course, and certified yoga instructor.
