Rachel Steinberg, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist, consultant and assessor with over 16 years of experience in the field of mental health. Dr. Steinberg currently provides therapy in private practice in Oakland California and also works at a local hospital providing crisis and diagnostic assessment and support.
While in graduate school, Dr. Steinberg worked in a local high school, a community mental health clinic, at the University of California, Davis (UCD), completed her APA accredited clinical internship at the University Iowa and her post-doctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco's (UCSF). She has specialized training in working with individuals in crisis, providing psychological assessments, employee assistance and in the supervision of new therapists.
Dr. Steinberg has obtained additional certification in working and providing neuro-affirming therapy and psychological assessment. It is in this area that Dr. Steinberg has found a much needed gap in the field of psychology. Dr. Steinberg is dedicated to help bridge this gap by using her expertise along with her personal experience to provide neurodivergent individuals with the opportunity for formal assessment and care. Dr. Steinberg is thrilled to be albe to serve the neurodivergent community in this way and she looks forward to learning about your unique experience.
